My Story
Hello!Hi there! I’m Erica, a photographer turned painter who is passionate about teaching art to others. Painting truly changed my life for the better, and now I teach art basics to new painters so everyone can have a chance to express themselves through art.
After struggling with mental health issues and burnout as a young adult, I started painting as just a hobby. Just something to fill the empty moments of my day. This small habit turned out to be so therapeutic for me. Painting quieted my brain and made me feel like myself again.
It turns out, there is so much scientific evidence that shows the mental health benefits of art! Even something as simple as coloring has been proven to be a meditative practice that can calm your nerves and boost your mood. Painting became a huge part of my healing process.
I've experienced the benefits of art first hand, and my hope is that you are encouraged to find creative moments throughout your day as well.
